These last few days I've noticed I've been using a popular UK idiom quite a lot. Have you 'come across'the idiom 'touch and go'? Today's photo shows some of the food available from 'Hillman's'in 西塚町. The quiche there is 'out of this world'!

I have never come across'touch and go'.
What does it mean?
Is it asocciated with airplane or flight?
