On the second Sunday in October we celebrate 'Remembrance Sunday'in the UK. On this day we remember all the servicemen and women who have 'fallen'since 1918. Traditionally people wear red poppies in the weeks leading up to Remembrance Sunday. It is said this tradition started because the poppy flower grew in some of the fields in Flanders. In these fiels were fought some of the bloodiest battles of WW1..... Today's photo shows a 'sand sculpture'in Scarborough,an old seaside resort town in North Yorkshire.
