My wife has become more British than any of us ever imagined. Over the last few weeks she has discovered the joys of "brambling". It is something I used to do with my step-father when I was very young. Have you ever tried/eaten brambles? Personally,I'm not that keen on them. My wife,on the other hand,can't get enough!!
A good old British tradition.
Brambles are quite soft and delicate so you have to pick them with care.

After a hard morning/afternoon picking brambles it is customary to enjoy some "liquid refreshment" at a nearby hostelry. Then your day will be complete!

ウオーキング途中で、季節によって見つけては味わっている、グミ、桑の実、ナツメ、むかごなどを思い出しました。とってすぐ食べたり、ジャムにして食べますが、今では味わう機会が少なく貴重な経験を私も楽しんでます。
先週末から台風12号が四国に来襲、紀伊半島、中国地方で大きな水害の被害が出ています。日本はまだ残暑続きそうです。
