In 1996,when travelling in New Zealand,I stayed one night in a hostel in Blenheim,on the South Island. That night I met another (kiwi) guy,also just 'passing through,like me. We got talking and decided to go into town for a few beers. We 'chatted the night away' about what we were doing with our lives as well as life in general. That night he taught me a phrase that has stayed with me ever since: The older you get,the more you realize how little you actually know. At the time I thought, 'That's the truest thing I've ever heard.'
