English riots.

Well,things have calmed down since the mayhem on some of England's cities last week. What happened truly shocked and appalled many people. The response,too,from the courts to what went on has also been a big "talking point",with some commentators/people saying the punishments "handed out/down"to these "thugs" have been too harsh. I think there has been a bit of an overreaction in terms of sentencing. However,there is a feeling within the country that something needs to be done about gangs (in particular) and young people who seem to have no respect for anything or anybody.I know this may "burst the bubble" of many Japanese perceptions of my country.
