Election.

I happened to arrive back in Japan during one of my favourite periods-election time!! Elections here in Japan are very different from those in Europe-the main one for me being the way Party staff ride around all day blasting out the name (and not much else) of their own candidate. Admittedly, when on the "hustings" they do give speeches sometimes and I noticed some preparations being done for a couple around Hamamatsu station. But, overall, here, compared to other countries I've lived in, it appears to be a much nosier affair.
The big question being, of course, will the LDP's return to power make any difference to the fortunes of Japan. "Stay tuned", as they say (although I'm not optimistic).
