Personally speaking 2008 has been a very 'up-and-down'year.This year I lost my father at the age of 62.In many ways it still hasn't fully 'sunk in'and perhaps it won't for some time. On the other hand,my mother and step father came to Japan at the end of March,which was very special for everyone involved.I've also spent another incredibly happy year with my wife.She always supports me(as do her parents)and for that I'm extremely grateful.I've also been very fortunate to work with some fantastic teachers and students this year! Who knows what 2009 will bring? We always start off the new year with hopes and dreams for the coming 12 months. The world faces huge economic and other problems next year but I hope your 2009 will be filled with happiness and success.Anything is possible if you really want to make it possible!
