And so Grand Champion Asashoryu's reign over the world of sumo has come to an end. It seems that he 'jumped before he was pushed'. Controversy followed him everywhere. But his record 'speaks for itself'! I have followed his progress since I first came to Japan. In those days he was just 'bursting onto the scene'. More tomorrow...
