As some of you may have seen on telly there was some severe traffic congestion at Heathrow airport over the Christmas period. Some people spent 5 nights sleeping on the floor in the terminals and there several reports of people crying and fighting as people became more and more frustrated. Our original flight was cancelled out of Kiev,too. We were "put up"in a British Airways affiliated hotel nearby. We were "bumped" (moved) onto the next Ukranian International Airlines flight the following morning. And because we flew into London's other major airport,Gatwick,everything was "plain sailing". It was quite a 24 hours to say the least!
