As the time draws closer to when I return to Japan, I have started to wonder whether I will suffer from "reverse culture shock", having been out of the country for nearly six years. Yes, admittedly, I have been back to Hamamatsu on a couple of occasions-just to visit, but this is completely different from settling down somewhere. Therefore, I hope to "hit the round running" as we sometimes by being as busy as I can be on my return.like to say
