Today my wife and I went to see a huge statue that stands overlooking the Dnipro river. As we are "scatterbrains",we forgot to take our camera,but don't worry,we will be going back for "seconds". Their are monuments seemingly everywhere in this city,celebrating the "Great Patriotic War",as World War 2 is called in Russia and Ukraine. The statue we saw today is truly incredible and I was a little "gobsmacked"by its scale. Oh,and by the way,the temperature today here was about 10 degrees Celsius.
