What a strange week of weather it's been here in Kiev. Bizarrely,it's been getting hotter all week. Today the mercury reached around 21 degrees Celsius. My Russian teacher told me that a hot jet stream is heading to this part of Europe,which will raise temperatures in the future (if she is correct). I walked to the supermarket in my t-shirt today,and I think the weather here is actually warmer than that in Tokyo at the moment! It's also been a bit of a "lazy"day for me today. Myself and my colleagues at work are trying to negotiate to get Saturdays off after the new year. At the moment it means that we're all pretty tired by the time the weekend "comes around". It's a little frustrating as all of us would love to do a few small trips to see a bit of the country. We'll see what happens I guess. hope you all had a nice weekend!
