Many years ago I was lucky enough to spend a few days on the Cote d'Azur, or the "French Riviera", as it is often known in English. I thought it was absolutely stunning. I can still remember walking along the seafront in Nice and around the Grand Prix streets of Monaco/Monte Carlo. It was therefore with some dismay when I saw the scenes of carnage following the latest terrorist atrocity there a few days ago. Perhaps what is more disturbing about this attack, more than usual, is the number of children who were killed and injured. At times like these, words simply fail me...
